Shoot 4 Evaluation by Saqib Younis

On Wednesday the 4th of December we shot the biggest scene of the trailer the party shoot, this began at 6.30pm and finished just after 9 pm.

Extras, began to arrive between 6 and half 6 through this time our production team began to set up the shoot. I set up the crane in which was a new piece of equipment to me as i had never used one before. This took around 10 to 15 minuets to do, it was placed outside on the balcony. As well as this I also helped set up the lighting.

Firstly, the roles in which we had when filming began was that Abbie was filming the trailer along with Tom  and also Tom was also in charge of capturing  the behind the scenes photos. Emma was the director, and I was in charge of sound throughout the full shoot. We began by shooting a general scene of all the extra at the party dancing, talking creating the scene of a normal teenage party. After this we shot a scene in which the disruption occurred when Charlie begins to dance with a female friend and his girlfriend and the main character Grace, takes this in the wrong way and storms out of the room with Charlie following her. We shot this scene numerous time from different angles to provide us with a a large variety of shots to choose from when it comes to editing.   After this our actor Grant arrived who is playing Mr Eastwood we began to film the argument scene in which after they go out the room they then go outside to the car park in which we filmed the argument scene. We began filming numerous shots firstly we recorded the argument between the couple. When shooting I was in control of recording the sound, Tom and Abigail were filming through the camera and Emma has directed the scene. This shot took up to half an hour due to all the angles in which we filmed from. During the set up at the start I set up the crane in which we used after filming the abduction scene. The crane shot provided us with a unique shot that would increase our options when we edited.

In conclusion it was a very successful shoot which did take time however the outcome in which the shots which were produced.
